Making Lemonade Out Of Lemons

Formed after the loss of his father, Pete Kareha created Party for Poppa K as a way to bring friends and family together to celebrate life. Since then, many people have made PFPK a tradition. The event serves as an annual reminder of the powerful ability we all have within us to turn lemons into lemonade. PFPK’s positivity is unmistakable, turning a golf event into something much more impactful.

A Growing Force for Good

Our first year of fundraising in 2004 brought in $1,500 of donations. Since then, we’ve continued to grow and create a greater impact through the charities we’ve helped. By 2013, we proudly surpassed $10,000 of donations for that year. Our 2026 goal of raising $60,000 aligns with the generosity our supporters have cultivated year after year.

Our focus for beneficiaries are human interest related non-profits that have between $150K – $1M in annual operating budget, have been a registered 501c3 for 5+ years, and have a core focus that represents championing positivity in the lives of others.
